Kate was born in Georgia, the daughter of a Federal Agent who was often transferred to different offices around the country. While she didn’t love moving 12 times before the time she entered high school, the art of “buying and selling” was an ever constant part of her life growing up, and one she came to love and embrace. With a mother who had a knack for turning ugly homes into diamonds, real estate sales was work she had been raised in.
Kate began working for the Griffin Realty Group when she was 22, on the heels of buying her first home with her now husband, Dan. It all started when Kate called the phone number listed on an IBM blue sign, that read “Danny Griffin Real Estate” with a rider on top that read “buy this home, and I will buy yours for cash!”. Flash forward to now. The blue sign is gone, replaced with a sleek black sign displaying the image of a regal Griffin, and gold lettering, Griffin Realty Group.
“What I like most about working with this company, is Danny’s willingness and humility to always look at things from every angle, and make adjustments constantly to benefit the way buyers buy, and sellers sell- at any given time. Years in the making, always with the customer in mind, the simple motto has never changed- be a person for others. This has always been a motto I could get behind, and a north star when things go off course. Danny’s simple plans for buying and selling are hinged on the notion of being a selfless guide to those in need.”
Kate was promoted to the rank of Vice President of Sales in 2015, and remains a student of a profession that is ever changing. She remains ever humbled by the ups and downs, the zigs and zags of a career that has challenged and rewarded her more than anything she may have ever imagined as a 22 year old, nervously dialing the number on the IBM blue sign.”
Kate currently resides in Brewster with her husband and 3 children, in a 200 year old antique home that they have, and will continue to lovingly restore… for likely their entire lives.
